#fatfriday review / Flapjack @ Hobb’s House

I had a request to do a #fatfriday review on fig rolls, which I had intended on being the naughty yummy treat of choice today. However, after purchasing a packet and trying one for the first time, I was thoroughly disgusted. So disgusted in fact that I actually lost my appetite and for that reason alone they have been banished. I needed a guarantee pick me up from this horrible encounter, so I poodled down to Hobb’s House and took my pick.

Naughty yummy treat: Flapjack.

From: Hobb’s House, Nailsworth.

Price: £1.70 (takeout).

Portion size: Big and chunky.

Sickliness: None.

Moistness: Incredible.

Rating: 4.5/5

Notes: This slab of super oaty goodness is just utterly delightful. It is a proper decent thick slice - chewy, stodgy (good stodgy) and moist throughout with no crispiness in sight (I am not a crispy flapjack fan). The texture is splendid and didn’t leave any greasiness on my fingers afterwards. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is purely selfish as I thought that if cinnamon had been in it too, it would have been the most perfect flapjack I had ever met.

I’d love to hear what you’ve been treating on, tag me @qtiquestudios.
