I was not expecting to see little Gü creations in the milk aisle, especially ones I can enjoy inside my mug. There’s also a salted caramel version of this hot chocolate (omfg, I know) and a mocha one too, but I wanted to start out with a good old classic.
Naughty yummy treat: Hot Chocolate.
Price: £1.99 (at most supermarkets).
Portion size: You can have as little or much as you like.
Sickliness: Pretty sickly.
Moistness: Very given that it is a liquid...
Notes: This is definitely the quickest and easiest most luxurious tasting hot chocolate I have had at home. I tried it both hot and cold (it was yummy either way) but it definitely shone when heated up. Once popped into the microwave (it’s a doddle to make), it’s almost like a warm chocolate sauce – smooth, creamy, velvety and thick - but not gloopy - it's just the right consistency. It’s not too sweet, nor too rich but it did begin to get quite sickly and I struggled to finish my full mug. Like you would expect with anything from Gü, this hot chocolate is truly decadent. It is more of a dessert than a drink and if you’re really into good hot chocolates, this is the best you’re going to get from the comfort of your humble abode.
